Four new commissioners have been appointed to the government’s Building Better, Building Beautiful Commission.
Formed at the beginning of 2019, the commission will advise the government on ensuring that new developments meet the expectations of communities.
Property consultant Gail Mayhew, chair of the Town & Country Planning Association (TCPA) Mary Parsons, founding director of Create Streets Nicholas Boys-Smith & landscape architect Kim Wilkie have all joined the commission, with Sir John Hayes MP also supporting the commission with an additional nine specialists helping.
Communities Secretary, James Brokenshire, said: “This commission will play a crucial role in ensuring the homes [that] communities need are built, accepted and loved by those who live in and near them.
“I’m delighted Roger is being joined by such a talented team of highly respected professionals, along with a list of distinguished advisers who will bring a wealth of expertise and a range of viewpoints.”
